Elsa Naude questions bodies, intimacies and (gendered) identity-producing phenomena. Focusing on the study of language and what it produces in our behavior, she explores the harmful mechanisms made invisible by our socialization. Offering a personal narrative inscribed in her situated experience, she celebrates non-conformity within a practice of joy, revolution and kindness.
Graduated in 2016 from EnsAD in printmaking (etching, screenprinting, lithography) and in 2012 from Ecole Estienne in Illustration, her studies also led her to the Pontificia Universidade Catolica in Rio de Janeiro.
Elsa taught printmaking, graphic design, experimental publishing and drawing, between Paris (Paris College of Art), Strasbourg (Metamorphoses School) and Basel (Druckwerk workshop) with international students.
You can read here an interview about the strong link between her artistic practice and her pedagogy, around gender matters.
